Sweet Pork Butt
« Reply #-1 on: June 30, 2016, 07:44:53 PM »
I have just purchased a Karubecue and love it! I am looking for an injection recipe that will add sweetness to a pork shoulder. There is a street BBQ vendor in our town who has a very sweet pulled pork that is outstanding . Does anyone know of an injection that adds a lot of sweetness to a pork shoulder?? Any recipes will be greatly appreciated as I have the clan coming over this weekend. THANKS!!! :)

Here is a link to Big Bob Gibson's peach pork shoulder recipe. I have used this one before and it is excellent. I have also used peach and mango nectar for an injection.
Hope this helps.  This link also has the homemade rub that he uses and I have also used it and it really compliments the peach flavor.

Using apple juice and/or maple syrup in your injection is another option.
