Fish Fry
« Reply #-1 on: September 18, 2016, 09:36:20 AM »
We haven’t done a fish fry in a while so we thought it was about time. Oldest daughter was coming over so we made it a fish fry Saturday.

2 #’s Grouper (Real stuff not swai), 1 # of large shrimp, bucket of oysters. I also wanted to try panko bread crumbs. I have read a lot about them here and thought it was a good time to try them. I can see why a lot of you use them, they made a really nice crust and had a good flavor.

When we do things like fish fry’s there are no rules. You can eat as they come out nice and hot. We all stand around the counter and eat, drink, and socialize. It's always a good time

My wife got me into the Panko Crumbs a number of years ago. I had my nose up at them until I tried them (I hope she does not hear the following because she was right ;D) they make for a nice crisp crust & taste great.

Was there ketchup for the fries & Tarter for the fish? :D   What kind of oil did you use & temp did you cook them at? Lemon is great too

They look great to me.

Yes on the ketchup, we like cocktail sauce (little hot) over the Tater. I tried to keep it between 350-375.
