I've used it as a beef rub as well.   Wooster as 'glue'.    Makes for a tasty crust.   ;D

Dang, now I might have to pick up an eye of round at lunch...   They are on sale.

That was very interesting, adding the smoke flavor and thin slicing. I usually put onions and garlic in the bottom of a crock pot with banana peppers and add a sirloin tip and slowly cook. Anxious to try your way next. Thanks for sharing.

I ordered mine online..then noticed it in the grocery store, Meijers, in with the packaged stuffs, like chili mixes, beef stews,  etc.  It is perfect with the onions and gahhlick and I use pepperoncini peppers. they are a lil zingier. Slice beef by putting it in the freezer for a lil bit, makes it easier to slice, but don't freeze it. A lil smoke here would be good too. You can't mess this up..I got the recipe from LTBBQ forum. It's killer beef.  Pam .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

An additional thought on preparation of the Italian Beef.  I did not put any additional garlic above whatever was included in the Louie's.  I will be adding some powdered garlic when I reheat the beef for dinner tonight.  My son said that he thought it needed more garlic.  I agree.  It was missing something, and I believe that it the lack of garlic.

A day without garlic is a day without sunshine!  I also ordered additional packets from Amazon. I absolutely love Chicago Beef sandwiches.  The bread is also key.  Great post, thank you!
