Veal Ribs re-visited
« Reply #-1 on: October 28, 2016, 10:26:43 AM »
This is a repeat of a previous cook.  This time the cut from the butcher was more roast than ribs.  Also I wanted to braise the meat after smoking for 3 hours so I filled a tin with carrots, scallions and small potatoes and then added some red wine, 5 spice, etc.  I thought that      2 hours would be enough to finish the meat and cook the veggies but only the meat was done.  So we opened a can of beans and creamed corn and ate dinner.  Tonight we will finish cooking the veggies and have them with the leftovers.  For a $1.49 per pound, a great cheap dinner!

Yes very tender.  Kind of a "lite brisket" taste
