Garlic Jalapeno Wings
« Reply #-1 on: December 08, 2016, 09:13:58 AM »
I found a Weber rub the other day, Garlic Jalapeno, and figured I'd give it a shot on wings. I don't normally use store bought rubs as they tend to be too salty. This rub had 100mg of salt. I marinated the wings in Franks Hot Sauce (not wing) overnight. Rinsed them off and lightly coated with olive oil. Then put a generous amount of the rub on both sides. At the end of the cook I tossed them with some Tabasco Jalapeno Hot Sauce. I have to say they were dam tasty! They had a nice little kick and were not salty IMO. If I look for store bought rubs now, I think I'll choose only those that are 100mg or less sodium.

Those look awesome. How much charcoal do you use for wings.  I've always filled it for my cooks (ribs and turkeys). Need some football playoff season wings. I need to give this a go.

They have some pretty good rubs, there are some flavors I haven't been able to find yet. The cajun and the kickin chicken is good too
