I found an Amazon Lightning Deal last week on the Palermo temp probe.
I ordered one to check it out.
I used  it twice over the weekend, on chicken thighs and on steaks. In fact I would have left the steaks on a little too long if I hadn't used it when I did.
It read quickly and accurately with an easy to see readout.
I received an e-mail form the company asking if it arrived promptly and if it worked to my satisfaction.  She stated they were a new small company that wanted to provide
a good product and good service.
I emailed her after using it and received an email back promptly.
I'll follow up on this again after this coming weekend. we have out of town quest coming in so it will get a workout Saturday.

The blue ones are still $19 right now.  I think the regular price is $57.  I'm not sure about paying that much but $18 was a no brainier.

I bought one for a friend and added one for myself as a spare. After seeing his close to 10 second response time I sent mine back unopened.

Good point, when cooking in the SRG, my arm might be cooked by that 10 second delay.

It's not the fastest but it works and it's $18. I have no serious issues with it so far.
At the point where they reach $50 plus they better be fast and accurate without compromise. And after that they are just to high and its all marketing that's  being paid for...

up against my thermoworks. Not as fast but just as accurate. Only real issue I have is getting the probe out of the plastic holder.

My only concern is when the food is at the bottom of my SRG, 10 seconds might be a long time to wait, but with my new weber performer and gasser I think it'll be great...  On order :)

I found the same Rad. I checked mine against my Thermoworks just now at room temp, ice water and boiling water. The Palermo was a little slower but not slow enough I wouldn't be happy with it. Don
