First cook on my Blackstone Griddle
« Reply #-1 on: February 14, 2017, 10:26:54 PM »
Decided to make a Japanese hibachi steak house meal for Valentines.

Ingredients for fried rice, steak, shrimp, noodles, and veggies.

Everybody on the griddle.

Plated with some ginger sauce (also made some mustard and Japanese yum yum sauce)

It all came out great and the wife loved it.
Observations:
I probably didn't season it enough since the eggs stuck in the beginning.
I have to do Tom's mod of adding the elbow to the drip track as grease ran down the leg.
Why couldn't Noah have swatted the 2 mosquitoes?.

Well that takes me back some years to time in Japan and it looks very delicious.
Question do you yell "irasshaimase" when guests show up? :)

Hmmm.... sounds strangely like the word I yell when grilling in shorts - and get a grease splatter in a certain region of the anatomy...... ;) ;D

Excellent first cook. Did you put some oil down before the eggs? You will need that.

That looks really good!

I've never been able to get the timing right on a griddle and it doesn't turn out like this.
