I would really love to attend something like that, not to compete but just to gain info from fellow Old Smokey cookers. Old Smokey's are such a niche item, there is not a wealth of information available out there. Thanks to CaptJack I got started on the right direction and no failed cooks so far. I might even get brave and try some ultra high speed ribs!!

I can't think of any event where a certain pit is to only be used. This is really cool. Once you cook on an Old Smokey, you will always have it as part of your outdoor arsenal  ;)
