Southeast regional cookout coming...
« Reply #-1 on: May 02, 2015, 10:38:30 AM »
I know this is late notice for y'all...I waited because I wasn't sure I would be able to host.  I am pretty much back to my "normal" self after that minor surgery and I'm ready to cook.

Don Bremer -aka IR2DUM - is coming thru here on his way to Houston from NC on May 8th (yes, next FRIDAY) and we will be hosting a cookout with him here at Backyard Jack's BBQ of Byron (a little plug).
Also coming in that day will be Dee, H O S (aka Mike), and Albert & Sylvia.
We have been doing a cookout with these folks since 2012.  We met Don at the first Fall Gathering in 2011 and became good friends with him and Dee.  Don was on a business trip to NC and wanted to invite himself to supper when he came thru here on his way home.  We were so glad to see him.  Dee came over for that one, too.
After becoming good friends with Albert & Sylvia at the next Gathering, they decided to join us.  Then we met Met Mike, who lives about 3 hours away, and HE agreed to join us.
We have a great time together...we eat a lot and laugh a lot.

So, there you are...a little history with the invitation for YOU to join us if you can.  There are several hotels very close by if you want to stay overnight.
I think Don will get here between 12  and 1:00 -- get here when you can.
if you want us to have food for you, gimme a heads up and we'll be ready.

We just had a really nice day at Terry's yesterday. My wife got to meet Terry and Kerry and Don and we are going to try and see if we can make it this Friday, if you don't mind Jax, what a great host Terry and Kerry are and Andrea got to feed the chickens. She talked about it all the way home, not sure but I think she turned 5 years old yesterday. 8)
Love to cook and eat

We don't have any chickens, but she may have something else to talk about on the way home.  On the other hand, she may be so bored she may sleep all the way home.

just sayin'...

Send me a PM quick to confirm your reservation  ;-)  need to know
