I decided to try something this past weekend. I bought eye of round steak and covered it in sea salt for 4 hrs then washed it off and seasoned it. Let sit in fridge for a few more hrs then cooked. I wanted to see if I could make a tough piece of meat tender.
Well taste was good, but the tenderness left a little bit to be desired. It was very good tasting and even had better flavor then some sirloins I have eaten.
It a good steak for 7 bucks and can feed 3 to 4 people.

Ever thought of picking up a Jaccard? It sure helps with those tough cuts..............

I must be the only one that does not mind a tough cut of meat if it has taste.

Tenderness...? SOUS VIDE......It really works miracles on tough cuts ;)

Ever thought of having the folks at the store run the meat thru the cuber? It does wonders for that type of meat and most stores will not charge you for this step.
