One of the Christmas presents my dearest got me was a King Arthur Flour Sour Dough Starter Kit. This is a crock container and lid to keep/store starter in, and starter, which is a descendant of a starter started over 250 years ago! Pretty cool! I got this a week early because it needed to be fed within 24 hrs. of delivery. It is truly like having another pet as it requires thought and feeding once a week. Well I've shared the starter already, to one of the BILs, he made pancakes with it and said they were killer. Life has been a blur so I haven't used mine, until Sunday night. I started an all starter batch of bread using no yeast. It is refrigerated for a long rise after a long rise at room temp. Today I baked two loaves of this extra-tangy bread. Came out pretty good. We will try it later this evening with snacks, smoked cheeses, salamies, and shrimp and grits!
