Is there a way to save a topic? There are times that I want to try a technique or recipe but then forget where I read it.
-
Hey..I make a folder for Recipes on my external drive. Then I copy and paste my recipes that I want into a file and save it. I have a tried-true file for stuff that I will always keep and that are special to me. I have a new recipe file for the new stuff and a forum recipe file for forum recipes. I have a bunch of files and I use FIND to locate the ones I want. you can do this a lot of ways. I store on an external drive so I don't lose anything. I had 5 hard drive crashes in college..their putters sucked...so I have learned to save, big time. good luck. Pam ☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི

Try 'bookmarking' it to a folder in your internet browser.

Bookmarking is the easiest way ;)

If it's a recipe I want to keep, I save it like Pam suggests, if it's something else such as a general topic I bookmark it. I have a special folder just for BBQ stuff in my bookmarks.

I do both methods as well.

And - there is always the "print it out and save it" method ;D ( tells how old fashioned I am ) But- if it is a good recipe, it goes onto my loose leaf cook book (s)

I use Evernote app for everything cooking related. It is free and awesome. All of my recipes and such are always with me.

I need to do this. Just book mark them and I have so many it is hard to find what I want. Evernote is cool and I need to use it more.

I like this because I can have it on my phone / tablet so that I can take it with me into the kitchen when I'm cooking. Plus I can any comments or adjustments to it too. Thanks for all of the great ideas. I thought that the forum might have an option and I was looking everywhere.

You can even screen shot the thread if in a hurry.
Hey Tim, on another site they have the ability to "Bookmark" with a button whatever they want, can this be done here??

Another vote for saving to the "cloud". I copy and paste recipes into a folder on Google Drive. No matter where I am (friends house, grocery store), I have access to the recipes.

Us old pharts tend to do it the same way.

I don't mess with no glue like Pam does or no outside drives on my lawn equipment. I just use a 4x6 card and put in a box that has "recipes" written on the outside in crayola. I'm thinking about upgrading tech-wise to a mechanical pencil since sharpeners for No. 2 pencils are getting harder to find.

Dee, you sound like my father-in-law. If I'm going to tell him something he always says, "hang on, let me get my glasses." I laugh and tell him that I'm not showing you anything we are just talking. Cracks me up every time.
