Thought I'd share my cookbook library with you guys.

I have about half as many cook books Bill but they're all collecting dust nowadays! When I need a recipe or information now I just Google it and literally get a million hits ;D ;D

I have the Smoke & Spice, Grill, Bread machine for dummies, Justin Wilson, Galloping gourmet, Top Secret Recipes..both of them, and twice as many as you have. I have a lot of Rick Babyless and my hero, Julia Child.

Between my wife and I we have several hundred cookbooks. Probably 50-60 we keep in the kitchen area and use on occasion. Most are stored in boxes in one of our storage areas. Cookbooks are just one of the things we have way to many of.
Oh, Chef Barry's cookbooks are two that have a place of honor in the kitchen. Especially since he autographed them, even though I can't read what he wrote. I hope it is not anything bad.

Nice collection --- I highly recommend Mike Stines cookbook - "Mastering Barbecue" and also Julie Reinhardt's "She Smoke"

I use the internet more often than not now as well. But I like leafing through the books once in a while, too.

I recommend the holy grail of bbq (imho) Peace Love and BBQ and Everybody Grills and America Grills from C.B. Martin!!
Another great book is "Grilling Grant's Way" from the founder of the HastyBake oven. It is geared towards the Hastybake pit but it has lots of great stories from the founder that made the first Hastybake in 1948...Char-broil was next in 1949 and then came the Weber.
Hey Bill, don't forget to swing by and get these two books that I forgot to give you when you bought the 26.75 Weber.
Both are first printings..one is from 1972 and the other from 1977!!

Those will be great additions to the library (and I even have the red Weber kettle to go with them).

Nice selection of cook books. I have a few but not that many.
I do recommend America Grills. Page 98 is my favorite 8)

CB liked the recipe so much he was gracious enough to add it to his cook book and I thank him for it! My late Dad never knew he had a (Pam's words) A famous son ;D ;D ;D
I thougth I'd go through life as the "Tommy Ring" guy 8) (wished I trade marked that one) :) :)

I got some new books recently... (with Amazon Points)...
One that I'm really LOVING is called the "Flavor Bible".
The first part of the book discusses types of flavors (sweet, savory, salty, bitter, etc) and has input from many chefs world wide...
The MAIN part of the book is more like an encyclopedia -- Look up an ingredient, and it tells you what goes with it well...
Very, very, interesting.
If you mix your own rubs/sauces, you will really enjoy it, and maybe get some new ideas.

Your photos will appear larger all by themselves - *AND* we save bandwidth....If you use a photo hosting service like Picasa or Photobucket.
It is easy folks.......no hassle, and frees up your hard drive space too!

T - I've been meaning to write up a here's how for re-sizing pics and hosting them to a photo hosting site.
I know Dee needs to know how ;D

Thanks Jack - Tha is a MUCH needed - and much welcomed idea!
PM Rick ( admin) or admin2 and they will turn it into a sticky and section that stays where it is easy for all to reference.
Any ideas you have to make it easy for folks - please post it!
