Looks awesome. We love smashburgers!
The last couple of times I put parchment paper over them before smashing. Easy release!

Cool idea Tom, they do look really good

I wonder if you added the spices to te butter and made small block then packed those into the burger before cooking? Injection is fine but you seem to loose a lot of butter where as a small hunk of butter in the middle them melt out while cooking might turn out better?
Just a thought.

Those look good Tom.
Yea, parchment paper is the answer.
Works like a charm.
I always fry mine in a big pat of butter, but I'm going to try Tommy's idea.

I saw a smash-burger video where they grilled both sides of the "meat-ball" before they smashed them. I think that was to help them stay together better and it might help with the release.
Speaking of release....could you please release me a couple of your smash burgers? They look great........and the butter idea is great.

Those puppies look real good Tom

Very nice Tom. I agree that parchment paper would do the trick. I also think Tommy's idea of incorporating the butter inside the burger would work better. You probably wouldn't lose as much.
