Title: Digital scale at a great price
Post by: GusRobin on January 07, 2018, 11:31:33 PM
This is a great deal on a good scale. Not sure if it is available to anyone or just Prime members.

I like the fact that it has a lid. One way to ruin a scale is to leave something sitting on it. Storage space being scarce for most of us.

But - I wonder about how small it is....and the capacity for weighing things. I think this would be great for weighing smaller ingredients...and curing salts - accurately.

What Tee said, check out the limits..mine is 11 lbs and don't forget to tare.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I have one similar to this and it works great. The description says it measures in Oz, Troy OZ, Grams and Grains --1000g in .1 gram increments. (35 oz)

I think that scale is typically used for measuring "herbs" and "powders".... ;)

Those are great little scales.
I have one (same brand but just a little different) that I use to measure my baking ingredients & it works great.

They also have another version of that scale that weighs 200 grams with a resolution of 0.01 grams (1/100th of a gram) for $9.  I would go with the higher resolution model for spices and cure.  For meats, I would go with a larger scale like the UltraShip 35 (35 pounds) or the UltraShip 55 (55 pounds max weight).
