Good morning everybody I’m new to to the group and excited to be in it. I’m looking for some suggestions. I’m looking to purchase a pellet grill and trying to make a choice between the Yoder ys640 or the Rec Tec 700 bull does anybody have any experience with these two grills they both have there pros & cons but both of them seem to be vary good cooker. I would like to get some feedback on them.

MAK 1 Star General......have owned several grills including the ones you mentioned. MAK wins....
-
Between the two you have listed the RecTec for sure! Price, warranty, company and quality can be beat
Now if $$$$ is not an issue get a MAK best there is
-
Welcome from SE Georgia! I agree with Teesquare that the MAK 1 Star is pretty unbeatable. Pretty much the same cost as the Yoder.

Good morning guys thanks for your suggestions.

Welcome from Washington. Mak 1 star.

Mak 1 Star has always been on top of my list. The Pellet Grill market is growing, creating more competition. Weber is getting in the game with the "Smokefire" next month.

I'd take a serious look at a pellet grill that has the WEBER name on it.
Otherwise, between the two you list, I would definitely choose the RecTec pelletizer.
Keep us posted...

I have a Rec Tec 700 bull, no issues in over a year of weekly use

What I have heard of the Yoder is that they really consume pellets. Would increase your cost of ownership

Welcome from Southeast Texas!
If those are the only two choices, I'd say Yoder 640S (their new S controllers resolved many of my prior misgivings regarding the YS640, though propensity to rust still remains a concern). Having had hands on with both the YS640 and the RT 680 when I was considering my purchase, I found both of them wanting in certain areas and elected to go with a different brand. I think there are some other really good manufacturers out there including MAK, Pitts, and Blaz'n that are work a look that are within the same price range as the Yoder you're considering.

Neither. Weber surefire.
