Title: Italian susage, onions and corn
Post by: TMB on March 30, 2014, 09:35:24 PM
Well after working all weekend on the house I decided that I was going to grill even if it killed me  ;)

Went to the freezer pulled some Italian sausage I made a while back and corn I had put back last year.  Grilled them on the Grill2Go grill and used onions and beer to sweeten the onions with (don't tell Kimmie  ;) ) she thinks it's a waist of beer to do that.  :D :D :D

Yes, I freeze it and then put it in Food Saver bags and vacuum them down. I can get 2 years out of them that way believe it or not.  Looking forward to a good corn season this year so I can put more back

Great looking food, I knew you couldn't stay away from the grill for long. I love the frozen corn idea, how long do you freeze before bagging?

When I freeze corn I freeze them till they are almost solid then put them in the Food Saver bags if not you would have creamed corn  ;)   In my freezer it takes about 2 hrs give or take

If you get a good seal on the vacuum bag and nothing goes wrong 2+ years is not out of the question

I will definitely be trying this.  Thank you.  Never thought of vac-seal.

Works great, just make sure you trim the corn or the tassel could get between the seal and cause a leak.  Done that way to many times
