Good day gone bad then back to a GREAT day
« Reply #-1 on: November 09, 2014, 07:57:51 PM »
Got up this morning and headed to Rick's  camper for breakfast.  Rick wanted to show off the English muffin cooker he bought back a few weeks ago.  He made Kimmie and I he's version of Egg McMuffins ( McDonalds has nothing on Rick  ;) )  These were great so much so Kimmie has it on her list to buy one next trip to Wally World.

Anyway after a great time and food with Rick (Crystal had to work  :(  ) but we did get to hug her and tell her thanks for a GREAT time  :D :D

We left and head home by the way of Gadsden Al.  There we took Mollee for her walk and seen the sites and water fall.

Next headed home (2 hrs away) to find out my ice maker spung a leak and flooded the kitchen floor under the vinyl flooring so we had to rip it up before unpacking  >:( >:( >:(

After we had the floor up and fans going we put up the things we brought back and one of those things were brats Rick had made.  So I told Kimmie all is not lost, I'll turn this day around and started cooking and here is how you make a bad day GREAT!

Brats, onions & habanero pepper with beer added then cook the brats move them to the skillet then back on the GrillGrates for a few more mins.   Plate them and watch the sun go down

And yes that's me holding a beer and watching the smoke roll during cooking!

Life is great, it's what you make it be at the end of the day  ;) :D :D :D :D :D

All's well that end's well....And - I hope your "end" gets well from eating that Habanero real soon!

Looks like it's time to put in that marble floor in the kitchen! ;D

Sorry about your kitchen floor.  It always happens when you least expect it or least need it to happen.  Nice recovery with the food.

Shoot the pepper was not that bad, we had bought these yesterday when out shopping with Rick.

I did get to talk to my brother in-law since he was over to help yank the floor up.  He said the metal was going to the shop this week to be bent for my new cooker ;) ;)

YIKES... You went from a nice view of waterfalls, then home to a water leak.  ???  That was smart getting the vinyl up so the floor can dry out properly.

I agree with Art; nice recovery with the food!

Way to push through a problem and look at the bright side. I have a hard time doing that myself ::)

Tommy, sounds like a great day (with the exception of the water leak and floor problem). The water leak is easy to fix....the floor, not so much. Good luck and just power through it.

Something similar happened to me a month or two ago - with one of those 5-gallon Culligan bottles - set it on the floor just inside the front door and did not notice it had a small leak.  Thankfully it did not doo any floor damage
