BP Super Secret Memphis Pellet Grilled Rib-Eyes

I had some Costco Rib-Eyes in the freezer that were seasoned with BP Super Secret Steak Seasoning and vac sealed before freezing....



3 minutes rotate, 3 minutes flip, 3 minutes rotate, 3 minutes flip....



All done...





Plated with mashed taters...





Man that new flame zone setup on my Memphis works flawless! And that Big Poppa's steak rub is fantastic!

You can never go wrong with a smoked Rib-Eye!  Especially cooked like that!   :)

Great lookin' hunks!  Just curious . . . do you think the rub before vac packing and freezing has any effect on flavor as opposed to rubbing before cooking?  First time I've seen this done.

I think it gives more of a deeper rub flavor. When the meat is thawing I leave it vac sealed and the small amount of moisture that forms in the bag almost creates a wet brine with rubs that have salt in them.

I would not do this with a wet marinade but works great with dry rubs IMHO.
