Emma's Chicken Kebabs
« Reply #-1 on: June 03, 2015, 01:03:34 AM »
My oldest daughter is getting into grilling - right now mostly chicken, but that's ok as long as she is doing it herself. Tonight she wanted kebabs - yes chicken. But she did add some onion, and green, red, and yellow peppers (major deal in our house  :'( ) Could not get her do mushrooms or tomatoes - maybe another day...  ::) ::)

She got the charcoal going on the "no longer mystery Char Broil grill." I suggested marinating the kebabs - but she didn't want to (her cook.) She did coat them with some EVOO and Mo Rockin' Chicken (her favorite.) She also rolled some fresh asparagus in EVOO with sea salt and fresh cracked pepper.

She put the kebabs on the grill first then added the asparagus. - My rule was - it is YOUR cook - you do it and you take the pics. It is a learning process so cut her some slack....  8) 8)

So we have the prep, on the grill and on the plate. BTW it was fantastic - from a kid that didn't want to have anything to do with cooking to where she is now - yowsa! I am proud of her.

Thanks, Sparky! She did a great job - it was very good. I am just so happy that she is getting into this, heck it could be junk right now - just making the effort. but she is making some really good food! I am proud of her! Soon I hope to get her signed up here...

She did really well. ;D

I lived in a place where there was no bakery and things like that. The bulk of the groceries came once a year on a barge up the river. Mom was an awesome baker and I really never learned from her.

You can't get that back :(
