Battle Of The Loaves of Meat!
« Reply #-1 on: June 29, 2016, 07:37:38 PM »
Mrs. RG and I occasionally have a friendly little throwdown of sorts where we'll make our own versions of something to compare. We both made meatloaf and we each used a pellet grill. I made mine on the Pitboss and she made hers on the Traeger. We used the same pellets. My meatloaf was the recipe I normally use which is like the meatloaf that Cracker Barrel serves except I changed it up a tad by infusing a little smoke into it as well as instead of using ketchup I used my Chipotle Honey BBQ sauce.

Mrs. RG made her meatloaf in a muffin tin likes she likes to do. Once they were done, she using a pastry bag and piped whipped potatoes on top of them with shredded cheddar and bacon crumbles! It's tough to say who won! They both were delicious!

Here's a few pics, she didn't get any of hers on the Traeger though :(

Going by looks alone, Mrs. RG won hands down.  I sure like her meatloaf concept. :)

I'll let her know that you all betrayed me, I mean, like hers better :P

Mine tasted better to ME but the cupcake ones are way more creative, that's for sure! She likes making meatloaf in muffin pans. We don't eat it but maybe once a year though, lol.

Sorry RG. Yours looks like a really good dinner, but hers is what you would serve to company.
