It's too hot to bbq.. Said no proper Canadian ever
« Reply #-1 on: August 10, 2016, 09:01:40 PM »
It is freaking hot here today.. We almost hit 115 with the humidex. I was tempted to have a pb and j sandwich for supper but I wanted something better.
I had some nice local made honey garlic sausage from a local butcher.. They also make their own sauerkraut. Bed of the sauerkraut with a little beer and smoked Paprika

Smoked on the Mak at 245 for 30 mins and ramped up to 365 to get some char.
All finished

The same place also makes their own buns.. These are the softest most amazing buns ever..
Plated up. Bon appetite

As much as I love a PB&J, I would much rather hammer what came off the MAK  :)

Two of them with 2 cold beer......YUM. I know what you mean about the heat and humidity. Up here it is so dry and hot that they banned all fires and are even talking about banning charcoal cooking. Looks like the gas grill and smoking chips to cook those. :-[

PB & J, or Scally's sausages with kraut...   Hmmm....  Let's see.....

Yep I am afraid Scally's sausages win every time, especially as good as those look!
