After the Thanksgiving Turkey, Ham, all the trimmings, and deserts what would prompt me to Apple smoke a 20 pound Fresh Young Turkey for the two of us?!  ??? ... Low-and-Slow at 250ºF for 8 hours  :)

For the leftovers of course ... Turkey Noodle Soup, Tetrazzini, Pot Pies, á-la King, Enchiladas, Sandwiches, etc ... ;D  ;)

Turkey cost under $10 (49¢/lb) ... 8 meals ... $1.25 per meal ... That's why!!  8)

Great idea!

Tomorrow, I think I'll go to the super market and see if I can find a good turkey or two and do something similar.

Ray

Yes Ray, it was done on my MAK 2.  I have found that it's hard to beat the temperature controls of a MAK and that at 250ºF it still provides an ample amount of smoke.  I use 250º now for my Ribs, Pulled Pork, and Briskets with fabulous results!
