How to remove Heatwave burners
« Reply #-1 on: December 04, 2012, 06:04:50 PM »
Hi all...

As some of you know I have a three-burner Heatwave IR grill that I use quite a bit. Two of the burners (the ones under the large trough) are rusted and need to be replaced. (The troughs are a whole other issue.)

The problem is the screws holding the burners are equally rusted and impossible to remove. Aside from drilling them out, does anyone have suggestions on how to get the screws and burners out?

Thanks!

We use a product called PB blaster for industrial strength screw and bolt removal. Maybe a good pair of vise grips to boot. Good luck.

Ditto on the PB Blaster, might even want to let it soak overnight...
