I think that's so awesome that someone designed a unit that's so portable. I've enjoyed Muebe's posts with his. Can't wait to see what you do with yours!

Quality Control issues on my PTG are delaying my initial seasoning and testing ... Time to see if Traeger's Service Department is as good as their word ...

Unboxed the PTG unit only to find that the lid does not close properly.  A quick inspection found the back panel warped which in turns affects the lid.  Called Traeger service and found the rep to be knowledgeable and responsive.  He sent me a follow up email detailing the information they would need to deal with my functionality and/or cosmetic issues.  I was asked to give a detailed description and attach photos.

A service manager will take a look at the damage and contact me with a resolution.  Most likely a new unit will be shipped.  This would be my choice cause I prefer to start with a fully functional unit.  Traeger said they would setup and pay for my unit to be shipped back to Oregon.

Oh well ... Stuff Happens !!!!!

Here are the photos I emailed back to them.  Waiting for their answer.

Dang Pete! It took some force to do that. You think it was during shipping that happened?

Luckily my arrived in perfect condition :-\

I don't really see how FedEx could have done that in shipping.  The box was not damaged in any way and the PTG was packed well ... I think it was manufactured that way!?  The metal doesn't look like it was bent by an external force since the paint, etc. looks pristine.  But then I'm no engineer ...  :(
