Ribs for my FIL
« Reply #-1 on: December 12, 2012, 07:40:18 AM »
My FIL contacted me about making a couple racks of ribs for his work get together this week. No problemo ;)

Started with two racks of St.Louis spares that I removed the silver skin on...

Liberally coated with BP Money rub...

Memphis pre-heated to 265F and A-Maze-N tube smoker is lit...

On they go for 2 hours...

And after 2 hours they were pulled off for some FL...

Some unsalted butter, brown sugar, and honey...

Applied then wrapped in foil and back on the grill face down for an hour...

After an hour they were removed from the foil and the juice in the foil was recovered...

Added some more brown sugar then reduced the juice to a glaze...

Meanwhile the racks spent another 30 minutes on the grill unfoiled to firm back up a bit. After 30 minutes...

FL glaze applied...

I then wrapped the racks in double-foil and into the fridge. They should be good for the FIL work group ;)

I like how Great Mikes think alike. Ribs glazed with their own love'n.
I like to do the same. I'll do one like that and one with Sweet Baby Rays for the kids.

Looks good Muebe. Really want some ribs badly. Only 14 inches of snow separate me from my Mak. Anybody seen my shovel?

YUM Muebe!

I love using the foil juices to make glaze or to add to the BBQ sauce.

Your father-in-law, and his co-workers should be quite happy nibbling on those.
