JB brisket
« Reply #-1 on: December 12, 2012, 11:23:56 AM »
i wanted to try something different.  so, soaked a brisket flat in a ziplock baggie w/ 1/2 cup of jim beam for 6 hours.

after the soak i drowned it in FSB.  cooked it over 2 beers and a chopped up onion.

onto little blackie @ 225°.

its cold out here this morning.  32°.  its cold for cali.

oh ya.  were looking good.

at 170° i put it in the beer on onion mixture i was cooking over.

pulled @ 205 and rested for 1 hour and them pulled.  i saved the juices and dipped my rolls in it.  made for some great beef sammies.

the end.

Dadgummit that looks good! Once I got that Jim Beam out I would have probably sipped on all during the cook and have forgetten to ever take the meat off.
