Christmas dinner on the MAK

Christmas Dinner on the MAK
Start with a 15lb fresh Turkey, brine overnight in water, salt, vegetable broth and honey

Rinse, Season, add some bacon

Into the MAK @300F with BD Sugar Maple

A few hours later

Done

The fastest color of Thermapen

Evil minions waiting for the turkey to rest

Ready to carve


White meat



Dark Meat



Baked Corn


Plated





Merry Christmas!


Dessert!
Apple Pie

Hmmm. The bacon seems to have "disappeared" between presentation and carving.  I hope no one was hurt.

'Tis the season!  Love them "Turkey Suspenders" they help hold the juices up? ;D looks like a a great time was had by all...AND....A recipe for that rocket fuel infused pecan pie would be a nice addition to our recipes! :D It sure sounds good!

The bacon is something my wifes family has always put on a bird and it works for me, It never gets to the table. I was going to go with the bacon weave, but I ran outta time. Recipe for the pie coming soon, as soon as she gives it to me.
