Ok, here is one of those "we both got in late from work (we work at the same hospital..Wendy in a Dr.s Office and me in the kitchen) and we aint got much time for supper" kind of cook" nights.
On the Weekend, Wendy will make up casseroles ahead of time and freeze em. Perfect for a MAK late supper, just toss it in the fridge in the morning.
This special concoction is so good, I served it to the patients for supper last weekend and it will be in the cafeteria later this week for the public.
Wendy promises a recipe soon, so hang in there.
Here is her "Chicken Poblano Casserole".
I set the MAK for the classic baking temp of 350 degrees.
Now where is that casserole? Ah, here it is
Look at all that smoke at the 350 setting.......only in a MAK!! See how I used the probe to easily monitor the casserole temp....
About 2 1/2 beers later the casserole reached 160 degrees internal and lets get eating.
Look at the nice smoke it picks up and the MAK is at 350 where normally on other grills you hardly get smoke, but we are talking about a MAK folks
We added the chopped green onions and had a great supper.
Just another great example of how to use your MAK or any other pellet grill with limited time. Something any family member can easily handle!!
Wendy promises to share the recipe so hold your horses, she will get it to you
