Hello all, been looking for a good forum for info on smokers. Tell you a little about my experience. In the past I have done several whole hogs. Had a homemade cooker made from oil drums with a rotisserie. Did quite a few hogs on that thing. Been doing some smoking on 1st an electric upright charbroil. It was an ok starter. Next I got a Bradley puck feeder. I like that one, but, I don't get enough smoke flavor. I also just got a charbroil simple smoker on the cheap. Just tried it out today and am very displeased with the results. Hence my search for this site. Anyone have any tips for me to get the best smoke from this? I also have the big easy turkey fryer and love that. Any help on the bradley and the simple smoker is appreciated.
I've been wrong before and it felt a lot like this.

Welcome. I've had a Bradley w/cold smoking attachment for many years, and still use it to smoke cheese and Salmon. The only original part left is the cabinet and racks. I did a 900W element upgrade and now use the Amaze-n tube smoker, which uses pellets, placed in the cold smoking attachment to provide smoke. I also use an Auber PID to control the heat. The tube smoker might be what you're looking for.
