Sup!
« Reply #-1 on: December 05, 2023, 11:36:23 PM »
My name is Bill.  I live in the Chicago land area.  Ive been grilling since I could see over the grill but I am a total cherry when it comes to smoking in a true smoker.  I just bought a Pit Barrel cooker.

My goals are obviously, RIBs!.  Its the reason I bought the Pit Barrel.  Ive heard it called a "rib machine" on several ytube vides.  I have done ribs as well as I could on my Weber kettle but you can only at most two full slabs. I don't cut full slab ribs until they are cooked.
Turkey - I want to cook a smoked turkey for family holiday meals.
Brisket - My daughter's friend and his father smoke in competitions and I had the pleasure of tasting his 11th place brisket.  I thought it was the best piece of meat I ever ate.
Prime Rib, pork shoulder and anything else you guys tell me is awesome I will try.

I have 4 daughters and wife is no longer with us so, I need to get out of the house!!!!  Please help me.

Cya all in the backyard.  I like Spaten Oktoberfest.

Bill

Welcome to here. There's a lot of PBC expertise on the forum. I'd take a look at their forum board to start. Then if you have specific questions, post them there and someone will be by to help out.

Welcome aboard.

That PBC is a fowl cookin' machine.  It seems to me that chicken and turkey taste better from it than cooked any other way.

Start smokin' and tell us how it's goin'.  Be sure to include photographs.  We love photographs.
