Burgers and Conecuh sausage
« Reply #-1 on: April 28, 2013, 10:04:54 PM »
With all the talk of burgers this week I just had to make some and use Gunpowder as the seasoning.
While at the store I also picked up some Conecuh sausage. If you never tried this sausage then your really missing out!

The burgers were 75% - 25% ground beef so lots of flavor  ;)

Even Kimmie loved hers and it was not even burnt! :)

I can attest to the Gunpowder being a good seasoning on all beef.  The Conecuh sausage is really good for a commercially prepared sausage.  Your whole meal looked great, Tommy!

Kimmie's burger was not a crispy critter??  Is she changing her tastes in grilling?

Good looking burgers and sausage Tommy. When I fire up the grill to do steaks or burgers I am prone to throw some sausage on there to snack on during the rest of the week. If you are ever down in South Alabama drop in a grocery and try to find some Kelley's sausage.  As good as Conecuh sausage is we like Kelley's better. When we go visit my wife's family in South Alabama we always pick up several pounds.

Tommy,
IF I can remember, I will try to bring some of the Tatonka Dust with me to compare with the Gunpowder to the Fall Gathering.

Look forward to it Art.   I have been wanting to order some but everytime I think about doing it something gets in the way.

I know the burgers don't look as good as others but the Gunpowder rub really is good just darkens the meat some.
