Sweet corn season here in Ohio only lasts about two months so for a long time I have cut it from the cob and frozen for winter use, 10X better than from the store. I have 12 lbs. frozen for this winter, and here is my way to freeze and vacuum seal.
Fill a plastic ziplock sandwich bag with 1 lb. of corn.
Stand it up and fold over to remove as much air as you can and seal.
Lay it flat and spread it out and then in the freezer overnight
Next day cut off the ziplock end and vacuum seal
This makes nice flat bags to store and will keep without freezer burn
