Left over mashed 'taters
« Reply #-1 on: November 21, 2013, 10:51:29 AM »
Rather than throwing away your left over mash potatoes there are a number of things you can do with them. If  you want to save them to eat later you can freeze them.  Just take an ice cream scoop and put scoops on parchment paper and freeze.  After they are frozen take off the parchment paper and put in a ziplock baggie. When you want to eat one just microwave it for about a minute and it'll be good to go.

When all else fails (heck, don't even wait for anything else to fail), make pierogi.

Great idea.

I had no idea you could freeze them and have them come out well.

Thanks,

Ed

Thanks for the tip, Dee...

Deb ALWAYS makes more than we can eat.  Now, I will encourage her to do that because if she's makin' one batch, she might as well make 2 and freeze 'em for later.  She can probably add that pay of butter to each scoop of taters before freezing.

These sound good.  Anything special to make them or just form and fry in your choice of grease?
