Smoked Kosher Pickles

Yeah i really did just under the cheese. Smoked on the 23rd





Going to use the pickle juice, toss in some pickled garlic and red pepper flakes.


All smoked up.




Mix in some goodies to. I doubled the pickled garlic after the pic was taken.



Ready to go swimming.



How bouts more goodies.

While the smoked pickles have been in the container in the fridge.

I smoked a turkey on my Meadow Creek Pit on the 27th.

Decided to go with my Meadow Creek on the turkey.



Here is my injection and rub. is on left.



Put some butter under the skin, injected, rubbed down the inside &  out.



Got more charcoal and some hickory chunk going.



Finished prep with buzzard boy/girl.



IQ110 Going.



Got the tropical storm coming in late today so i hope the turkey gets done . They building houses next to me now.





Hope i beat the weather.....Yikes




Later that day.

Gobble....rest...gobble






I can see smoked turkey twice baked taters, turkey bean w bacon soup, turkey nachos......yikes i'm tired now.

Yesterday i made some lunch  ;D

My smoked panini sammy.

Starring

Smoked turkey on sourdough.



Smoked pickles & peppers.





Smoked cheese.



Panini time.






Smokey MMMMMM MMMMMMM





I aint one to brag about my cooks/smokes but these pickles & peppers are the SHIZNET  ;D

The non smoked pickles and peppers took the smoke right in from the smoked pickles. I will do these again

i would like one of those sandwiches rick.  milk on the side plz.   never seen smoked pickles before.  dude, you sure your not some old hippie smoker like me?  some of the stuff you do is way out there.  i like it.  :)

Rick,
I have cold smoked cheese, hardboiled eggs, bologna, different kinds of nuts, why wouldn't I smoke some dill pickles?  Everything else you have done looks great.  I follow your lead and smoke some pickles, too.
