Now I know I have another wing thread but this recipe deserves a thread all it's own. I'm a massive wing junkie and have tried countless wing recipes and this one is by far one of the best I have ever tried if not the best. These were simply outstanding! Here's a link to the recipe and some pics below...

How long do you cook your wings? The 1 hour to 1.5 hours on PBCs website seems high, but I've never cooked on one so just wanted to check before my trial run.
-
Also, any recommendations on a mild hot sauce for the wings? Doesnt really give any suggestions in the recipe.

Love those wings!!

Hey Solo..I use Frank's hot sauce..you can use any kind..and butter, real butter, melt butter and add sauce until it's as hot as you like it..add less if it's too hot or more if you like it..ya just gotta taste it. I cook mine indirect on my Weber using the charcoal baskets or vortex, then crisp real good when done, usually takes an hour. .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

My wings take 30 minutes more or less. I let my coals get very hot, put them on for 10-15 minutes with the lid on and depending on how the side towards the coals look, flip them over for another 10 then I'll sauce them and place them back on for 5-10. I like to have a little char on my wings so the last 5-10 mins I'll stand over them and flip as necessary.

Nice Wings!!! I have used that recipe before... they taste great!

I'm going to attempt to make these wings on Saturday. ;-)

Hey kona, how long do you lrt the coals heat up for your wings? I did my coals for 12 minutes per instructions and mine were not close to being done in 30 minutes.

I light mine for 12 minutes, place them on the grate with NO re bars / lid on, at 15 mins, flip them, let them go for another 10 minutes with the lid on. I pull them at that point and sauce them if I have one and place them back on anywhere for 10 - 15 minutes more with the lid OFF. I let them go till I get the outside char that I like on my wings. The lid off those last minutes really cranks up the heat. I make sure I stand and watch them during that time
