Ordered a PBC today! Had to tell somebody!! I'm pretty excited, lol.
-
Congrats!
I love mine
-
Congratulations I know you will love it. You are probably about to turn out the best bbq you have ever done.We will be waiting for some pictures.
-
Congrats on your buy and I am always interested in cooks in the PBC.
-
Congrats, you made a solid wise purchase!
-
About how much charcoal does the basket hold? Just wondering how many cooks I can get out of one bag of Kingsford.
-
Congrats on the PBC! I get about 4 to 5 cooks out of a bag of Kingsford. When I got it I only got 2-3 cooks cause I was over loading the basket and sometimes it would burn half the night. So I cut back on the shorter cooks (2-4 hours) and load up on the longer ones 4 plus hours. Also remember to set your vent correct per the directions and let the charcoal ash over before you start the cook per the directions and most importantly Have Fun! :) :)

Yeah I'm kind of concerned about overloading the basket. Hard to tell from the videos what "level" is. Do you guys go level with the rim of the basket?

Congrats to you on your purchase!!

I absolutely love mine! You'll love the food it produces :)

I do so I always get consistent results. Level to the rim. Some people even count the amount of coals. I would follow the videos until you get used to the PBC then experiment.
You can plug the holes and close the air shutter to kill the coals after cooking to use another day.

You are going to love the PBC!
Just don't over complicate it. Watch all of the videos from Noah @PBC and...practice, practice, practice. - and once you are comfortable and confident - THEn...and only then...try 1 different thing that you have read further about the PBC. Whether that is how to light your charcoal, or different cooking and temp. control techniques. Get the basics down FIRST.
And - you will quickly find that the PBC is as predictable and reliable as using a microwave oven. Easy...pushbutton easy. And consistent.
I would wish you good luck - but you will not need it. You have all of US at LTBBQ cheering you on and offering lots of tips! ;D
