Title: To rebar, or not to rebar, that is the question!
Post by: solobaric on May 19, 2016, 12:47:20 AM
Going to try chicken wings for my first cook. In Noah's video he has the rebar out. Is that just due to his elevation in Colorado, or should I do mine without rebar here at sea level.

Follow what he does in his videos and you'll be just fine ;)

LOL I'll edit my original post since for some odd reason I missed the whole "wings" part of the chicken cook lol. When I do mine (I'm in South Florida) I leave my rebars out for my wing cooks. I let my coals get nice and hot, place on the wings and cover. In about 10-15 mins I'll check them and flip them over and re cover. In 10 minutes more I'll generally sauce and return to the PBC BUT will leave the lid off to crank up the heat and get a nice little char on them

The video where he does chicken wings on the grate he does not install the rebar. So follow what he does in the video. Should produce some nice, crispy chicken wings.

Noah's videos have never steered me wrong. Having the rebar out when using the grate sure makes things easier when you got to turn the wangs..............
