Hi all
Has anyone tried kingsford's applewood charcoal in the PBC?
I got a coupon for a free bag and thought I would give it a go.
Wanted to see if anyone else may have tried it
Thanks
Chris

Have not tried it yet. Might burn at a different rate than regular Kingsford. Still charcoal.
Give it a try and let us know your results.

Apple wood awesome with pork....so I hope/think that you get a little of that extra flavor and aroma in the charcoal. Look forward to your results!

Haven't seen it around here yet - but will look for your experience and ask for it.

I will be on the lookout for this since I was not aware that they even had a product like this.

Will definitely post some pics and impressions.
Thank you

The Mesquite and hickory are good, If a little weak on flavor. May be better in something like the PBC.

I've used he hickory for short cooks & does enhance the flavor.
Might work well for a minion method & snake long cook not sure about the PBC .
The bags free try & report!

Seen the applewood in the stores, also they have a mesquite lump briquette which is real nice...good for a cowboy steak or chicken.........
