I ordered the Cook’s Essential 5.3 Quart Air Fryer about 1.5 weeks ago from QVC. I just happened
to be on their website when it mysteriously appeared. I say mysteriously appeared since it has
been either out of stock or back ordered for a month or so now. I picked up the only color that they
had and that was eggplant. It is actually a very pretty color. To break it in we decided to do some air
fried chicken. The chicken was coated with
Kentucky Kernel seasoning flour. I didn’t use an egg wash,
just got the chicken damp. Once the chicken was covered with the flour I misted it with EVOO. It was
put into the preheated air fryer at 360 for 20 minutes. I flipped it at the 10 minute mark. When the 20
minutes was up I checked the chicken with my thermopen and although it was at temp, we wanted it a
little crispier. I put it back in at 370 for 4 minutes and flipped it after 2 minutes. It came out perfecto!
My plate with some mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans.
I do believe all out air fryer needs are met now. I still have the 3 quart NuWave Brio and now the 5.3 quart Cook’s Essential.
