Title: Did a little cooking yesterday.
Post by: AndyL on October 06, 2019, 06:34:26 AM
Filled up my PBC with some ribs chicken and Polish sausage on a beautiful afternoon. To me there's nothing more relaxing!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191006/c92095c1b73900f0228c55b4b16a5b1c.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191006/d6794f37bd7acf8a529405b5bb3f0611.jpg)

Great looking bones.  I love that unsauced look on ribs.

That looks mighty good!

How long have you been using the PBC?
You seem to have it dialed in...

Picked up my PBC last month and I have had a handful really successful cooks with it so far. I gotta tell you I love it's simplicity with it's set it and forget operation. It's my first drum type cooker. For the money it's hard to beat. I've had stick burners, electric smokers and other charcoal smokers/grills in the past. Although those were fine pieces of equipment I'm completely happy and satisfied with my results on the PBC. What I don't want to cook on the PBC I put on my Weber gas grill. Those ribs were delicious alright! I put on a different rub for each rack. One with some heat,  an Asian spice inspired rub and PBC companies All-Purpose rub. My preference is for non-sauced, dry rub only ribs. With that said I do appreciate fine sauced ribs too!   ;D

In all the years I've owned my PBC I've never done more than one type of meat at a time in it.  I'm going to get a few miscellaneous groceries together the next time I need to fire it up  ;D

Yeah, I found that the PBC is pretty versatile and easy for cooking many different meats, veggies, etc. at the same time with just some simple planning/timing to get everything done together. Even with my limited experience with the PBC so far. Here's a couple pics of a 7 lb bone in pork butt and some chicken I did last weekend, that hinged grate accessory is awesome for what we're talking about here alright. A good looking mixed cook.  I too like to cook my ribs without sauce.  Those that like the sauce can always add it later.
