All is right with the world...The SEC Network is on the air.  Now more people than ever can watch the TIDE and not have to suffer deprivation by looking at lower level football games.  Hee.  Hee.  Dee

I love football.  My wife, however, really loves football!!  She has been counting the days for quite a while.  I am glad DirecTV finally picked up the SEC Network.  It would be a living h#ll around here if she couldn't watch her Tennessee football.  I have been known to leave the house (only until the game is over) if things aren't going well.

Art, I've seen articles and programs about that houseboat area they have at the Tennessee stadium and it looks like a fantastic time to be had there....up until the final score is posted of the ALA-TN game.  Dee

Football season is just the time when baseball is in free agency. [ducks and runs]  :D

I am SO ready for football. Since DirecTV took their sweet time deciding if they would have the SEC network I went ahead and ordered AT&T Uverse. I am getting a wireless receiver so I can take a TV out on the deck to watch the games.

Dee,
My wife had a response for you.  However, since this is a family oriented forum, I will refrain from sharing her response.

So I take it that the response wasn't 'Roll Tide Roll"

I DO have some questions for fans of Alabama and Auburn. It has to do with mascots/team names...Let's start with Alabama:
1. Your mascot appears to be an elephant...but the name of the team is the "Crimson Tide"? Why?
2. Are you aware that a red - or "crimson tide" is the result of a bacterial bloom?  Cyanobacterium. They grow out of control and "bloom" in the presence of excess orthophosphate in water. ( Usually a result of too much fertilizer being used in area...or a flooded waste plant. ;D

O.K... Auburn:
1. Make up your minds guys - are you the Tigers or War Eagles....? Is it a bi-polar thing, or athletic cross-dressing? :D
2. Have you guys decided to not hire a grounds keeper that is an Alabama fan to water your trees?  ::) ??? 8)

As far as Alabama goes :

As far as Auburn goes, it is just a bipolar thing.
