Title: Steak on a bun

Pulled out a couple of thick New York steaks and ground them for burger - hardly any fat, just steaky goodness.

New York burgers and zucchini rounds

As always, Grill Grates makes for a perfect sear

Topped with nothing but an onion slice, smoker_pete's pickles (Pete generously gave us his delicious pickles when we visited with him) and Picka Peppa sauce

This is the first time we tried Pelican beer - this stout was extra smooth

The burgers tasted just like the steak from which they were ground.  In fact, I enjoy this version of New York steak as much as I do in whole form.  After all, New York steak still tastes like New York steak even if ground

Yep, looking mighty tasty pz! And there's no better way to make zucchini than on a gril. Nice job!

Dang PZ... seeing your pics and reading your description, I can almost smell and taste those burgers grilling up! 

Then you top it off with a dark beer... NICE!!!

Thanks for the kind comments, folks.  Had the single leftover today with no condiments and it was just as good as yesterday - should have topped it with a runny yolk egg for a steak and egg breakfast  ;D
