Title: 1999 Weber Spirit 500

Finished with functional rebuild of 16 y/o weber gas grill.
To be honest it wasn't a pretty grill when new & the frame & some firebox had gotten overspray from white paint in past , so I'm not trying to "restore"
Frame , firebox & lid in good shape. The cast iron grates were excellent.
The flavorizer bars were OK good enough for now.. The burners were good except the crossover burner had a small hole which I stuffed with high heat JB weld.
Replaced ignightor , switched out regulator head to work with new style propane. The gas gauge needed a few sprays of WD-40.
30 min of cleaning out inside & a little greased lightning & elbow grease has it ready for a deer camp gasser 8)
Grill was $20
Ignitor was $15
Regulator head $10
Total less than $50  8)

As a trial grilled a flat iron steak last nite. Pegs thermometer & with the thick heavy grated a good sear.
Fish cook tonite

 It cleaned up real good!  You should get years out of it now.   That grill cover in the pic behind it needs a little duct tape though....  :D :D :D

My brother inlaw has one of those, maybe I can get it from him and rebuild it as well

LA, ya dun gud. That cooking platform at Lost Arrow will need a few more boards if you keep adding cookers.

Nice grill LA.  I restored a 2001 Genesis Silver B and it is without a doubt the best gas grill I have ever owned. Added GrillGrates even made it better !!!

Good job. That grill has a bunch of good cooks in her  8)
