Title: Lets talk Turkey! Another way to cook one
Post by: Tailgating is my game on November 16, 2016, 06:02:19 PM
I think he overcooked it & he should have a temp reading going but this might just work with those adjustments......this one looked a little dry. I would like to try this next year

Not impressed!!  He needs some lessons on how to cook a turkey.  His video is reason enough to NOT cook a turkey his way.

I agree Art but i think with the right adjustments & temp it might work. One of my tailgating friends form NJ. Use his device to cook ribs at the stadium & likes it. He is going to try the turkey in December......not Thanksgiving ::) ::) ::) A smart move in my book LOL

The device seems interesting (I guess I never saw a gizmo that I didn't like) but it really seems like he has no idea what he's doing.

I guess a "ribalizer" will help you fix ribs in a gas grill but it didn't work any magic here.

He was working those scissors hard! He had to take a breath when he finished.

There are more ways to skin a cat...same in cooking. Some are better then others. I am not a big smoke food fan & I like my turkey from the big easy & roasted in the oven. Would I be willing to try this? Sure but not overcooked. LOL
