I just bough some Louisiana apple wood pellets, 2- 40 lb bags for $27. They are 40% apple and 60% maple. Pit Boss has some good prices too. Don

The only catch is there is a 1-2 month shipping wait. But, for that price it is worth the wait.

Thanks for catching that Larry, I am just so used to two day or a week to ship I missed that. I did just order 40 lb of Pit Boss competition blend for $19 and it should be here Tues. Don

I have never tried the Pit Boss pellets. How do you like them, Don?

You are going to like those Pit Boss Comp pellets Don. I have gone through about 200 lbs of them and no problems :thumbup:

Used to be that the only 40 lb bags that offered Prime shipping were the cookingpellets, but now the Pitboss comp mix is like $19 and available at a lot of Walmarts as well. I feel bad since I have cooked nothing but the cookinpellet hickory for a long time, but they are now pushing $37 on Amazon. Nothing but the Pitboss going forward if the price is basically half. I have been using a combination for now since I still have a few buckets of hickory, and I am not noticing a difference in flavor yet. Maybe when they are 100%, I will notice but I doubt it. About the same in ash and pellet use so far as I can tell.

I picked some up last week. Two days prime shipping. Maybe I got the last of there supply. I smoked some bacon with it Sunday, I really like them.
