I just retired my propane grill and picked up a Weber Premiere kettle. It's been ages since I've cooked on charcoal, but I look forward to getting back into the swing of things.

I have a couple of Weber kettles, too, a love cookin' with charcoal. A couple of weeks ago I added a rotisserie ring...works great!
Looking forward to hearing about your cooks - add pictures when you can.

The first thing I grilled up were some chicken apple sausages. I was thrilled with the tasty results.(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170907/ec6c313bd3221b04c050185998185374.jpg)

After that success, I ran to the store to pick up some flank steak and asparagus. The wife seasoned the steak up with soy sauce and who knows what spices. I was aiming for medium rare and I pretty much nailed it.
The steak was delicious, but a bit on the peppery side. The asparagus were overcooked a little, but not bad(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170907/40450dcbe1760286f48b153854fcbacc.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170907/f1bd2b5f5e83eabbf64cd0a9705d2780.jpg)

Welcome from North Carolina ;D
You can do just about anything outdoor cooking related on a Weber kettle. I still use mine even though I've got some more specialized cookers, too. Have fun!
