Title: UPDATE : 18 LBS to go until my Tomahawk Steak & hot fudge coconut Sundae
Post by: Tailgating is my game on August 21, 2018, 12:53:32 PM
1.5 years later I got a little off track & with Covid it was hard but I am down another 11 Pounds from 1.5 years  so my new target day too get down to 235 is the two weeks after Memorial day this year....Same big steak is my reward.

I lifted my Dogs big bag of Dog food today & said wow I lost twice as much as this weighs........At 6-6 235 should be good with another 10 lbs to go by years end.  Anyway it is a long climb & that steak will be the best I ever had lol.

A word of warning don't get near me when I start to eat it! LOL I even warned my dog

Yes I will have a cherry on top & whipped cream plus a Baked potato, sour cream with butter along with the steak.

I started three years ago & i have lost 50 Lbs as of last Thursday.

I said that when i reach my first goal I would eat the above.  (that will be 68 lbs total)

My Real goal is another ten on top but we shall see.

I am almost 6-6 so it was not that hard to do.

Never had a Tomahawk Steak but it looks great.

It will be cooked on my new Weber red head.

my target date is next summer.

I am so impressed with you guys.  I know that some of you are doing because you have to (as opposed to simply wanting to) but that doesn't matter.  It takes a lot of discipline, way more than I have ! ! !

CONGRATS ALL ! ! !

This is me - 1 year: August 2017 to August 2018. This pic is about 75 lbs down. I use the loseit app to track calories, fitbit to track exercise & activities (synced to loseit) - and free  work outs with http://f3hickory.com/. No "special" diets (not low carb, not keto, etc) - Im not against those diets - this just works for me.

Congrats on yall's successes! I'm right at 80 lbs total loss now

Congrats on the weight loss, and you can lose that final 18 lbs!

I am now down just under 65 lbs since starting my low-carb/keto diet early last year (after learning I was Diabetic), and still loosing slowly but surely.

I just had to get it through my head that there were certain foods I was going to have to give up basically for life.  The benefits are worth it though.  Going low-carb/keto (moderate protein), has allowed me to get my numbers back in check and off of the diabetes meds (Metformin) which were causing severe pain in my knees constantly.  I feel tons better and am a lot more active like I was when I was younger!

Congratulations on the weight loss and the approaching goal.

I've got 21 pounds to go to my next goal.  My reward is I get to eat "real" pizza from my most favorite pizza parlor in the entire state.  Yep, over an hour drive to get there, and I'm probably going to pay a price for it since it's been so long since I had "authentic" meat loaded pizza and be low carbing it, but it's the taste I want. 2 slices with extra cheese please (and shake on peppers too).

You said there were foods that you had to come to terms with as far as giving them up for the rest of your life... I’d be curious to hear what those are.
