Title: Bad news

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with hardening of my arteries.  I am trying to fast for multiple weeks and keep the edema off to allow for healing.  Due to a corn allergy the drugs of choice to hold things in check I cannot take.  This is due to the FDA declaring corn generally regarded as safe (GRAS) and almost all drugs are touched by corn in some way either as a derivative of corn or it is packaged with an ingredient derived from corn.
