Just a simple combo --- bone-in rib-eye; grilled asparagus; Hassellback potato

Do you use the chopstick trick for your potatoes?

Peeled the potatoes, put the potato on a cutting board. Took 2 wooden spoons that have a flat handle. The handle was about 1/4 inch thick. Lay the handles flat on each side of the potato. Slice the potato down until the knofe hits the handle. Due to the irregular shape of the potato, part of the ends were "lost" when the knife went through the potato on the thin ends.

thanks for explaining that.  I grabbed 4 potatoes and my wife ask what I was doing.  i'm making potatoes dear.  her response was, "ok, what person on the forum told ya to waste a bunch of potatoes?"  gusrobin told me to do it dear.  her response, "what's his wife's phone number?"  oh, your in trouble......  I was only given two potatoes to practice on.  it works.  thank you gusrobin.   :P
